Meserow Design builds and maintains the custom software public agencies and institutions depend on to operate. Our capital portfolio platform, PRISMnx, is the software of record for King County’s capital program, tracking more than $20 billion in active projects and $2 billion in annual expenditures. We have been in continuous production since 1997, with a senior team of ten drawn from institutional finance and enterprise engineering. We also build for schools, labs, nonprofits, labor organizations, and private companies.
Core competencies
- Capital program portfolio management: project intake, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year portfolio reporting at the $10B+ scale
- Legacy modernization: migrating agencies off spreadsheet-and-silo operations and aging platforms without losing institutional history
- Financial systems development: auditable expenditure tracking, fund accounting integration (Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft), and reporting for public budgets
- Regulatory and compliance platforms: self-service data collection that agency staff evolve as legislation changes; environmental labs (LIMS), licensing, grantmaking
- UI/UX design and software engineering: interfaces built to WCAG 2.1 AA for the staff who use them daily, not for a demo
- Cloud infrastructure and QA: deployment, monitoring, and test coverage for systems that cannot go down
- AI-accelerated delivery: senior engineers shipping with current AI tooling, every line reviewed and owned; client data never trains a model

Differentiators
- Systems that outlast the administration that procured them. Ours have been in production for nearly 30 years, across three generations of platform.
- Senior team only. The people who design your system are the people who build it. No staffing pyramid.
- Institutional finance background. Core team from Parametric Portfolio Associates and Morgan Stanley. We know what auditable means before you ask.
- Direct access to the people doing the work. A partner is on your project, not on a quarterly check-in.
